H.E Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey will pay an official visit to Afghanistan on 16 June 2016.

Within the framework of his visit to Kabul, Foreign Minister H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will be received by President H.E. Ashraf Ghani, the Chief Executive H.E. Abdullah Abdullah and will have a meeting with Foreign Minister H.E. Salahuddin Rabbani. During the talks, developments in Afghanistan as well as the bilateral relations with Afghanistan will be discussed. On this occasion, Foreign Minister H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will also visit the Turkish military unit serving in Afghanistan.

The visit of Foreign Minister H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu to be paid before the Warsaw Summit of NATO and Brussels Conference on Afghanistan, in both of which significant decisions on Afghanistan will be taken, will constitute an opportunity to reaffirm the support of Turkey to Afghanistan in the fields of security, development and capacity building.
